Linda Stokes
Linda Stokes uses a Samsung Galaxy III for nearly every shot she takes, but she has a backup phone for emergency situations — for instance, if her battery dies and she's capturing a special moment, such as a wedding. Stokes mentions that mobile photographers should make shooting with their phones a habit, or a ritual — that way, it will "quickly, almost automatically, become one of your favourite art forms."

Katie Cowden
When Katie Cowden isn't photographing her daily progress on whichever textile art project she's working on, she uses her T-Mobile myTouch Slide to capture whatever catches her eye. With the help of editing apps like Viginette and Instagram, she particularly likes to photograph graffiti, architecture and the people around her.

Shoot 1
Plan
For this shoot i am going to do a pop of colour, i am thinking of doing the skittles and water trick where the water takes the colour away from the skittle making a cool effect.

I really like this shoot because in the edit the colours are so vibrant and you can see the reflection of the lake. In my edit i just increase the brightness and contrast to enhance the colours.

My Final Edit
in my edit i duplicated the picture onto another layer and put a black and white film over it. Then i used the eraser tool and i erased the background of the water to give it some colour i also erased the sky so it wasn't too boring and lifeless

Shoot 4
My Plan
In this shoot i am going to do neon signs shoot as we went around Liverpool we could see a lot of advertisements in neon LED lights so we decided to take a pictures of them all in different shops

My Best
This image is my best because the sign is really bright and looks really cool reflected back into the mirror. I feel that the neon pop of colour is really effected. I didn't feel like this image needed editing because it is very bright anyway which i feel if it was edited it would take away the effect of it. |
My Worst
This shoot is my worst because you cannot really see the neon through the window and all the colour is faded away and washed out so it is less effective. |
Shoot 5
Plan
For this shoot i took pictures of colours in different shops and places.

My Best
This is my best image because i like how all the jelly beans are different shapes ans sizes i like the shadow in the back which will show contrast when edited. there is a medium depth of field as we can see all of what the image is but towards the back is out of focus |
My Worst
This is my worst image because you can barely see the colour of the sweets and it is extremely out of focus because i moved the camera as i was taking the picture. |
My Edit
My edit is very simple as i only increase the contrast and brightness to make the colour of the jelly beans pop out more we can see that the editing has brought on the depth of the darkness in the middle just making it more pink but contrasts with the brightness at the front of the image. I was unable to take screenshots of my edit as they deleted off my phone from the editing app i was using.
