Why i chose manipulating reality?
I chose this section of work because i feel like i can really go into more depth with my edits and making out of the ordinary shoots which i would never have thought of in the first place. I am inspired the the large range of different photographers that focus on this specific section of work. I have realised that this section is very similar to the weird and wonderful topic we have practised but to differentiate it from weird and wonderful which for me is mainly about people and changing them such as cloning an deforming the so i am drifting away from that and have decided to do more things with landscapes and objects and have got inspiration from artists who focus on those things.
Paul Biddle
Paul Biddle is a surrealist artist photographer who uses cameras and sometimes Photoshop to create extraordinary pictures which captivate viewers. His images are sometimes inspired by found objects from nature or junk shops or start with a drawing and then a search to find objects to fit the idea. His images are then brought to life by his capturing of light, form, surface and space his thought provoking juxtapositions. He also uses objects that he photographs in museums and other places which he then assembles using a photo editing app.

I really like this image because it is imitating like a person and using iron objects in places like the jugs to show body parts i also love the pop of orange and red really brings out the image and the effect of it. this image has a large depth of field as we can see the whole image. the composition of this image good but no techniques such as rule of thirds are used.
Christophe Gilbert
As a self-described detail-maniac freak, Christophe Gilbert truly believe that small details can make a huge difference. Looking through his amazing portfolio of work, it is amazing how he can manipulate liquids like paint and water. Gilbert’s work rises above the rest with its distinct and clever style. Christophe’s impressive client list includes Mercedes, Toyota, Ford, Playstation, and LG Electronics among others.

I am in love with this image because of the editing effects. she is wearing some sort of dress but towards the bottom it starts to disintegrate and fade away. the person is in the center of the image so there is no sort of rule of thirds but the composition is still effective. This image has a small depth of field as we can only see the main focus of the image which is the young woman.
Erik Jonhansson
Erik Johansson is a Swedish artist based who creates surreal images by recombining photographs and other materials. He captures ideas by combining images in new ways to create what looks like a real photograph, yet with logical inconsistencies to impart an effect of surrealism.

This image is really pretty because it is like a man changing the light bulb in a room but instead it is a man changing the light in the moon. We can really feel the glow and light of the image from the different moons. This image is under exposed but it is not ruining the picture in fact it makes it better. The moon in the sky is on one of the hot spots of a picture grid which brings the picture together. This image has a large depth of field as we can see everything in the picture.
Test shoot
I am doing this shoot to capture different objects and scenes then practice some different editing techniques. I am going to try and recreate my favorite image from Erik Jonhasson, which can be seen above. I am going to take pictures of the sun in different times of the day and take a landscape picture.

Shoot 1
In this shoot I want to do a landscape where I change how the land looks with an editing app. Maybe by making waves and making it look like its a fabric. The image above is my inspiration but it will be almost like when you life a sheet up and down and it makes small waves across the fabric.
